1. Data controller
Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”), your personal data is processed by BY Ventures Teknoloji Limited Şirketi (“BY Ventures” or the “Company”) as data controller, within the scope described below.
2. Personal data we process
Through this website, and to the extent you choose to share it with us, we may process the following personal data:
- Identity and contact details: first and last name, organisation, email address and phone number.
- Enquiry details: the content of messages you send via the contact form or by email.
- Security information: technical logs kept by our hosting provider for the secure operation of the website (IP address, date and time).
3. Purposes of processing
- Receiving, assessing and responding to your enquiries,
- Handling partnership, investment and press requests,
- Sending our corporate newsletter, where you have given explicit consent,
- Ensuring the security of the website and meeting our legal obligations.
4. Legal grounds and method of collection
Your personal data is collected electronically through the forms on our website and by email. It is processed on the legal grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK, namely that processing is “directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract”, “necessary for the data controller to comply with a legal obligation” and “necessary for the legitimate interests of the data controller, provided that it does not harm the fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject”; and, for the newsletter, on the basis of your explicit consent.
5. Transfers
Limited to the purposes above, your personal data may be transferred to our website hosting, email and form service providers, and to authorised public authorities upon request. Where our service providers’ servers are located abroad, transfers are carried out in accordance with Article 9 of the KVKK. Your personal data is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Retention
Your personal data is kept for as long as required by the purpose of processing and the statutory limitation periods under applicable law, after which it is erased, destroyed or anonymised.
7. Your rights
Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed; to request information if it has been processed; to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; to know the third parties to whom it is transferred in Türkiye or abroad; to request correction if it is incomplete or inaccurate; to request its erasure or destruction under the conditions set out in the KVKK; to request that such operations be notified to third parties to whom it was transferred; to object to a result against you arising exclusively from automated analysis; and to claim compensation if you suffer damage due to unlawful processing.
